National Ambulance Services Tender RT4
UnQondo have been listed as an accredited / approved supplier of Rescue and ancillary equipment on the RT 4 National Emergency & Ambulance Services Tender.
Products include: PRISM Inflatable Lighting Systems, Rescue gloves, Chemical Suits and selective water spay equipment. The tender runs for 24 months commencing 01 July 2009.

New Projects

A Fixed Fire Fighting System project has been awarded for full design Engineering and supply of all related Foam making equipment including Foam Concentrate. This entails Foam Proportioners, Foam Pourers for Tank & Bund Protection; Water reticulation system & foam sprinkler system.

Fire Fighting Foam Concentrates – Fomtec

UnQondo are sole Agents and distributors for Fomtec in Sweden for all Foam making Concentrates and associated Foam hardware.
Fomtec launches new AR AFFF 1% Foam concentrates into South Africa. This is based on 1 % Strength for both Polar Solvents and Hydrocarbons.
Also available in South Africa is ICAO Approved / UL Listed foam concentrates [AFFF 6 UL, AFFF 3 UL] for the Aviation Industry and conforming to and meeting ICAO Standards.

Unqondo now manufactures foam concentrate at the Honeydew works. This is under licence from Fomtec Sweden

New Products

UnQondo have secured full dealership rights with MICROCAFS in Germany for the supplies of the latest technology in Compressed Air Foam Systems. Microcafs systems are designed to be used as both Portable units 50 L, 100L, 250L etc and Fixed systems into Fire Fighting Appliances. Full engineering assistance is available from UnQondo and Microcafs in Germany.
Portable units are intended to be used in conjunction with SCBA cylinders or Industrial Plant Air.

POK France, manufacture a range of water spray equipment with their latest development Combi POK. The nozzle provides a straight jet of water with either a single or double cone spray.

Res Q Jack USA, have been involved in the Research, design and manufacture of Vehicle Stabilization and Urban Search & Rescue Equipment. These are based on full mechanical operation utilizing straining ratchets / chains and jacks.

New Services
Servicing and repairs of all portable, mobile and fixed fire fighting equipment also forms part of our product programme. This is conducted at our Gauteng and Durban, KZN works.
